Our speaker this month will be Jim Blue, Emmy Award-Winning TV Journalist – News Director, Anchor, Reporter, and Our candidate for Florida House District 76!

Jim has traveled the world to cover stories ranging from Afghanistan in 2001, Rwanda, Sarajevo, the Philippines, and Nepal among others, telling the stories of people’s journeys, hardships and perseverance.

During his journalistic career, Jim remained scrupulously non-partisan while covering four national political conventions, as well as voting in every election for the best candidates regardless of party. 

Following his retirement from journalism in 2016, Jim moved into the district and joined the Charlotte County Democratic Party and has been active since, working as a precinct co-captain, communications chair, and media coordinator.

A distinguished career of integrity, unique perspective, and experience, we couldn’t find a more perfect candidate for District 76.

So come out and hear from Jim, and help support him in his work to protect home rule, reproductive rights, and of course, our environment and waters.
